Maggie's love of community music started the Yorkshire way when she began playing cornet with her local brass band aged 11. She went on to achieve a first class (hons) degree in Music from Keele University and is a qualified Secondary Music teacher with a PGCE from the University of Huddersfield. She also has a disctinction at Grade 8 and an ABRSM diploma in performance on euphonium.
Maggie has always been inspired by music's ability to make people smile and help those with additional needs. Professionally she has worked as a support worker with young people with special needs and as a secondary and special needs classroom music teacher.
Before joining the Musical Moments team Maggie was Head of the Arts for a multi-site special school in Leeds supporting young people with social emotional and mental health needs.
Maggie is excited to use music to support a different generation with fun filled, energetic and interactive musical moments sessions.
Sessions will be available in North York with Maggie in September, so please get in touch and find out how she can work with you
