Operatically trained, Jilli developed her love of music from an early age. Studying with her vocal coach Pamela Cook M.B.E. She went on to become a member of the Cantamus Girls’ Choir, of whom Pamela was the founder. Spending the next 10 years with them completing tours of Europe, America, Estonia and Canada to International Acclaim.
Jilli says, “Making the decision to provide nursing care to both my disabled parents was difficult, as I was trying to further my studies at the now Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. However, with my decision made I left the Conservatoire to become my parents full time enabler. Over the next 20 years, caring for them both became a very rewarding, challenging and life changing experience.”
Now married with 3 children Jilli has developed a wide musical taste, mainly through her sons and daughter who all collectively play the Piano, Guitar, Cello, Chinese Erhu and Drums. She also has a passion for the 1940’s and loves to visit events centred around this period in history. In contrast to this Jilli likes to listen to Eastern Music, particularly Indian Bollywood and the Mongolian Group ‘Anda Union’.
Jilli says, “Musical Moments will be a time to share my love of music in a holistic and satisfying way. Picking up where I left off really. Touching the lives of people every day and really seeing the positive effect Music can have on the mind and soul. It will be amazing!”
