Musical Moments was born from our founder Beckie’s own personal experience with dementia; her Nana was living with dementia at the time and she discovered the amazing effect music had on her communication, happiness and general well-being.
The organisation is now in the capable hands of our Managing Director Maggie who started her Musical Moments journey as a Franchisee. We have a team of franchisees across the UK and have a great demand for the service. Every element of the company and the brand has been hand-crafted by our small but passionate team, making our core values personal, ethical and honest. Ultimately we want to enable more musicians to deliver quality music activities to those who need it most.

Established in 2011, we know that our format at Musical Moments is a proven and successful model with many of our current franchisees taking on staff to meet demand.
We are frequently contacted by care homes across the UK for our services, but due to the nature of the work, locality is essential. This is why we operate our franchise model and Musical Moments needs you as our clients want to book directly with their local session leader.
We’ve spent the last five years constructing and perfecting a business model that is ready to replicate in all areas of the country. So whether you want a full-time career or can just commit three hours a week we want to hear from you!

Who we are looking for
The perfect Musical Moments franchisee is friendly, energetic and passionate about music and working with other people. We need musical people to join our network – how you want to grow your business is up to you. Maybe you want a financially and emotionally rewarding part-time career that fits around your family life? Or perhaps you want to grow your business and take on your own staff? Either are possible and sustainable with our flexible business model.
Musical
To have an excellent level of musicality or musical background. You will be leading group singing and need to be a competent singer or instrumentalist for the live performance section of the sessions
Self-Motivated
Our perfect franchisee is self-motivated and ready to grow their business, you don't have to have run your own business before, but you need to have the drive and motivation to do this
Caring
You will be working with very vulnerable adults and our aim is to bring some happiness to their day. You will need to bring a genuine warmth and kindness to your sessions
Availibility
Your need to be available late mornings and early afternoons in the week
We ask for a minimum of 3 sessions a week but You could be delivering 3 sessions per day if you want to make your Musical Moments career a full-time job
Confident
If you like performing and leading large groups this is also the career for you. On a daily basis you get to be the highlight of lots of people's day
Transport
Your own transport is essential to get you and your equipment between session locations
What we do for you
Your own Territory - a unique area for you to run your business based around your chosen location which will include at least 100 care homes.
Equipment and Content - We provide all the training and equipment you need to start delivering you sessions along with all the sessions plans, playlists and a detailed activity guide (including video tutorials for each activity). We are constantly updating our material so that we are delivering fresh and appropriate sessions and content.
Marketing - You get all the physical marketing materials you need with branded flyers, business cards, pens, posters and more to get your business off to a great start. We also manage all your online marketing and promotion for you through the website and social media platforms which have more than 6000 followers across platforms.
Personal development support - Operational support for franchisees can be given at any time in the working week. Flexibility is a key word in our business. Most of our network is run online; we have a great staff online community where we share practise discussions, tutorial videos and new activity ideas.
Business practice support - One of the best things about running a franchise is that you are running your own business but you are not on your own. We are here to support you start and maintain a successful business, with templates for emails, invoices and spreadsheets and up to date knowledge on legal requirements such as insurance and DBS checks.
Industry support - Our team at Musical Moments HQ have had years of experience in the care activity sector, and are on hand to answer any type of question or query that you have. We also have a very friendly Franchisee WhatsApp groups for sharing good practice and queries.
Musical Moments became a Franchise out of a desire to both meet the demand for our sessions in more areas and to provide musicians with a sustainable option to work for themselves and manage their own time.
Our franchise model is currently priced at £4,999 though we only ask for a deposit of £1,500 to get you trained and up and running; the rest can be paid in monthly instalments, interest free over your first 18 months.
After your first 3 months in business you pay a 10% commission fee each month, with at least 30% of that invested back into the business towards advertising and marketing campaigns to benefit all franchisees.
